The short version. sidebet is a social layer on top of Polymarket. It helps you follow traders and organise head-to-head challenges with friends. It never holds your money, never places bets for you, and never holds the stakes of a challenge. Prediction markets involve real financial risk and are restricted in some places — that's your responsibility to check.
sidebet is an independent, non-custodial interface for viewing public Polymarket market data and coordinating head-to-head challenges between people. It is operated by an individual, not a registered company.

sidebet is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Polymarket. All market data belongs to its respective sources. Any trade you place happens on Polymarket, under Polymarket's own terms — which you should read. We have no control over their platform, their markets, how a market resolves, or whether your order fills.
This is the most important thing on this page. When you challenge a friend, sidebet records who took which side and tracks the outcome. It does not hold the stake, collect money from either party, or pay anyone out. There is no pot held by sidebet, and no escrow.
Each person places their own bet with their own wallet, directly on Polymarket, and is paid — or not — by Polymarket according to how that market resolves. Wording in the app such as "winner takes the pot" describes the spirit of the head-to-head, not a fund that sidebet holds or distributes.
If you and a friend agree to settle something between yourselves outside Polymarket, that is entirely a private arrangement between the two of you. sidebet is not a party to it, cannot enforce it, and takes no responsibility for it.
You keep your own wallet and your own keys at all times. sidebet cannot move your funds, cannot sign on your behalf, and never has access to your private key or recovery phrase. Every transaction — a Plus payment, a USDC purchase, a trade — is signed by you, in your own wallet, and is your decision.
Because of that, you are responsible for your own wallet security. If you lose your keys or recovery phrase, nobody can restore access, including us.
The option to buy USDC with a card or Apple Pay is provided by MoonPay, a third-party payment provider, through their own hosted checkout. That purchase is a contract between you and MoonPay under their terms and their identity verification requirements. We do not process the payment, do not see your card details, and cannot resolve payment disputes on their behalf.
Some outbound links to Polymarket carry referral or affiliate codes, and we may earn a commission if you sign up or trade through them, at no extra cost to you. We may also receive a share of revenue from third-party services integrated here, such as the USDC on-ramp. Plus subscription payments go directly to us.

Prices, probabilities, leaderboards, trader statistics and any other data shown are for information only and may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. sidebet is a young project, actively under development, and is provided without warranties of any kind. It may be unavailable, contain bugs, display incorrect data, or lose data. Features may change or be withdrawn. We do not guarantee that a market will resolve as expected, that a challenge will settle correctly, or that any notification will arrive.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, missed opportunities, wallet compromise, third-party service failures (including Polymarket, MoonPay, or blockchain networks), or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of sidebet.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, in which case those limitations may not apply to you and your statutory rights are unaffected.
These terms may change as the product develops; the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use sidebet after a change means you accept it.
