Frequently asked questions
Questions about Sidebet
What is Sidebet?
Sidebet is a social, non-custodial interface built around live Polymarket data. It lets friends take opposite sides of a market and tracks their head-to-head result.
Does Sidebet hold my money?
No. Sidebet does not hold user funds, private keys or a shared challenge pot. Each person controls their own wallet and signs their own transactions.
Does Sidebet decide who wins?
No. The underlying market resolves under its published rules. Sidebet uses that resolution to update the challenge record.
Is Sidebet affiliated with Polymarket?
No. Sidebet is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Polymarket.
What does a market price mean?
A price such as 61¢ is often interpreted as approximately 61% market-implied probability. It is not a guarantee and can move as participants trade.
What does Sidebet cost?
Browsing, following traders and accepting challenges are free. The first three accepted challenges you start are free. Sidebet Plus is normally $10 USDC for 30 days and does not renew automatically.
What wallet do I need?
Sidebet supports compatible browser wallets and WalletConnect options. A wallet on Polygon and compatible funds are required to take an underlying position.
Can I use Sidebet everywhere?
No assumption should be made from the website being accessible. Prediction markets are restricted in some places, and the underlying platform enforces its own geographic rules. Confirm the law and availability where you live.
Is this financial advice?
No. Market data, trader statistics, prices and educational pages are provided for information only.
How old must I be?
You must be at least 18, or 21 where local rules require it.
