Head-to-head predictions
Prediction markets are better with an opponent.
A prediction market gives an event a live crowd price. Sidebet adds the part group chats naturally want: one friend on YES, one friend on NO and a shared record of who was right.
What does “with friends” mean?
You do not create a separate market or ask Sidebet to hold a shared pot. You choose a live market and a side, then send a challenge link. Your friend sees the same question and takes the other side. Each participant controls their own wallet and position.
The four-step loop
- Pick a live question.Choose a market whose wording and resolution rules both people understand.
- Take a side.Select YES or NO and decide how much risk is appropriate for you.
- Send the challenge.Your friend receives a link showing the question, your side and the side available to them.
- Let the market settle it.The underlying market resolves under its published rules and Sidebet updates the head-to-head record.
How Sidebet differs from a sportsbook
Sidebet is not the house and does not set the odds, accept wagers, hold keys or distribute a shared pot. It is a non-custodial interface and social record layered on live third-party prediction-market data. Transactions are signed by each user in their own wallet.
Choose good challenge questions
A useful challenge has unambiguous wording, a clear closing date and objective resolution criteria. Read the full rules before taking a side. A price is a market signal, not a promise, and it can change after you create or accept a challenge.
